About Tyler
On December 5th, 2004 our precious angel was taken from us. We know that we will see him again and anxiously wait for that time. Tyler was killed in a plane crash while he was practicing maneuvers in the hopes of getting his pilot license. There was an instructor with him at the time, and all evidence points to the instructor neglecting to follow proper procedures.

Tyler was a fun loving, energetic young individual. His passions in life were flying, cars, golf, family and friends. He always had a smile for everyone and hated to see anyone cry.

Tyler had a girlfriend for 3 years; Janine Bursey was the true love of his life. It was often said that they were more than boyfriend/girlfriend they were best friends. He would spend countless hours with her or watching her play soccer. We went to one of her games and often wondered after that how he could sit for so long and just watch the game, realizing that he was the type that wanted to be constantly moving, it was then that we concluded that it must be a special bond between them.

Tyler was also a compassionate individual. It’s hard to estimate the number of hours that he spent at the Janeway Children’s Hospital with his friend Terry Gill. Whenever Terry came into St. John’s he would call Tyler and no matter how busy Tyler was he always made time for him.

Tyler like most boys had a love of cars. His 2003 Cavalier was modified with body kit, rims, and stereo. It was a unique car that was in a couple of car shows. I’m sure it turned a few heads and several people always asked the question “What type of car is that?” This was the biggest bond that he shared with his father. Many a night they sat in front of the computer wondering what they could do next with his car or just looking at all the new sports cars. They often just went for a drive in his dad’s sports car, not so much to talk although they often did but just to be together.

Tyler was the joy and inspiration of his mom's life. Tyler and his mom shared a special bond that often son and mother’s share. When ever Tyler wanted his finger nails cut, money for new clothes, gas for his car, to sleep over at a friends house or food cooked at 10 pm he would always ask his mom. Sometimes Tyler and his mom would go out on hot summer days to either shine his car or just to sit on the steps and enjoy the sun. His father traveled quite often and that left Tyler and his mother home together. They would often pick up groceries together, mostly Tyler's favourites. They would always go out for supper when his dad was away. Many a time when he was in a hurry and had to be somewhere he would call his mom on his cell phone and say "Mom, I'm on my way home, could you put something on for me to eat?"

Tyler we miss everything about you. Our hearts are broken, we grieve for you everyday. Our lives have changed forever. We can't wait to see your georgous face again. we know Tyler you would never want to leave your mom, dad, and Janine. We know it was out of your control. Keep on smiling buddy!!

Love Mom and Dad.
The sun will never shine the same again on our faces.
